Grading

EXAMS. There will be two hour exams plus the final. Each of these exams will be weighted equally at 30% of the total grade. Sample exams are on reserve in the Library. The sample exams should not be relied on as a primary study means - use the outlines and objectives. The 2nd & 3rd exams are semi-comprehensive in that they make use of concepts and techniques learned earlier.

PROBLEMS will count 10% of your semester's grade. The lowest score will be dropped in calculating your problem average.   Problem A consists of a series of small projects from which you can choose those you want to do.   While Problem A is weighted as a regular 10 point problem, up to a maximum of 20 points on it will be used in calculating your problem average.

Your final grade is based on your overall average with 90 and above being an A, 80-89 a B, 70-79 a C, 60-69 a D, and below 60 an F.
