Biography

I grew up in Arkansas, but have lived in Texas for a long time.

I earned the B.S.B.A., B.S.P.A., and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville) and the Ph.D. from the University of Texas-Austin (with a Major Field in Finance, Minor Fields in Accounting & Insurance, and Other Advanced Coursework in Economics).

I'm married with four children. My hobbies are gardening and working on web pages.

My research interests include electronic money and investment techniques for individuals.

A more recent followup is my "Is Virtual Cash a Reality" which was published in the Journal of Business and Economic Perspectives, Fall & Winter, 2001
